M-Women Project
The M-Women project is geared towards driving long-term policy change rooted in the lived experiences of Muslim women.
Insights from the M-Women’s Leadership Summit will be combined with findings gathered throughout the project by the Community Policy Forum. This includes online roundtables, listening exercises, and surveys conducted with Muslim women across the UK. These collective insights will be used to produce policy recommendations that will be submitted to the UK Parliament and local policy stakeholders to advocate for meaningful change.
The summit represents the first step in an ongoing series of annual events and research initiatives, ensuring that Muslim women’s voices and interests remain firmly on the policy agenda.
M-Women’s Leadership Summit 2024: Navigating Challenges, Inspiring Change
We proudly hosted our first-ever M-Women’s Leadership Summit on 22 November 2024 at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.
We are deeply grateful to all who contributed to making this event a success. A huge thank you to our remarkable speakers, panel chairs, partner organisations, and attendees for their invaluable support and participation.
Get Involved! M-Women’s Survey & Roundtables
To maximise the long-term success of the summit, we are conducting ongoing research into the barriers facing Muslim women that we hope to present to Parliament in April.
We will be hosting a series of online roundtables in January 2025 to build on the discussions from the summit. These roundtables will cover a wide range of topics, including balancing home and work life, accessing healthcare, being in positions of leadership, and much more.
Sign up here to join the research and share your experiences as a Muslim woman.
We are also conducting a survey to uncover and highlight the unique barriers facing Muslim women.
We invite you to support and participate in these initiatives to help shape the future policy landscape for Muslim women. Your involvement will contribute to a better understanding of the challenges they face and help identify policy changes and reforms needed to mitigate these challenges.
